Quick and Easy Smoothie Bowl Recipe for Kids

One thing I am super proud of myself for is introducing my kids to veggies and fruit early in their lives. As a child I wasn’t introduced to certain foods, because honestly fresh foods weren’t exactly easily accessible in my small town. My mom did the best she could with what she had, and ultimately raised a healthy adult.

Noah hasn’t always loved smoothies, because of its texture, but when I introduced him to smoothie bowls with his favorite fruit on top he couldn’t resist. So keep scrolling, because we’ve finally made it to the good part!

Tropical Smoothie Bowl Recipe:

FIFTH Enjoy!

I also wanted to share some health benefits on why I chose these particular fruits and veggies for my kids.

Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C, fiber, and other antioxidants. Strawberries protect your heart, lowers your blood pressure, guard against cancer and increase good cholesterol.

Mangoes are also a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and other antioxidants. Mangoes are great for your biggest organ, your skin! They are also good for your eye health too! They can help lower cholesterol, boost your immune system, fight heart disease, and even boost your sex drive.

Papaya is a great source of vitamin A, C, E, and potassium. Which means they can aid in eye, digestion, and kidney health. Papaya’s can also help with anti-aging as they pack a huge antioxidant dose! Also know that they can boost your overall immunity and help with weight loss.

Blueberries are a great source of fiber, manganese, vitamin C and K. They are also 85% water. Blueberries have a reputation as being the King of antioxidants, because they are packed with goodness! They also reduce DNA damage, lower blood pressure, improve memory and brain function.

Pineapple is a great source of vitamin C, manganese, and other antioxidants.Pineapples help support our immune system, aids in digestion, promotes healthy bones, has cancer fighting properties, and can even enhance wight loss.

Kale is an amazing source of vitamin C, fiber, potassium, other antioxidants, and chlorophyll. This means Kale can lower the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. It can also aid in bone health, digestion, eye, and skin health too. Kale is also by far one of the worlds best sources of vitamin K!

Flax seeds are one of the oldest crops, that are loaded with nutrients. They are high in omega-3s, lignans, and fiber, amongst a host of other great nutrients! They can help reduce cancer, improve cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and even may aid in weight loss.

I also get questions on why I choose organic, and typically organic foods are often more nutrient rich. They also have fewer pesticides, and overall choosing organic helps to maintain healthy farming and a healthy planet.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favorite smoothie bowl recipe for my kids as much as I enjoyed sharing it! Stay tuned for more kid-friendly eats.
